Have You Seen Me? ® Program Delivers Hope as National Missing Children’s Day is Observed
LIVONIA, Mich., May 22, 2018: As National Missing Children’s Day nears – marked each year on May 25 – Valassis, a leader in activating consumers through intelligent media delivery, reaffirms its strong commitment to deliver hope to missing children.
Valassis uses the power of its products to raise awareness to this cause through its long standing Have You Seen Me? ® photo program. The names and faces of missing children can be found on its RetailMeNot Everyday™ and Clipper print products, as well as online and via The Have You Seen Me? app, available in the App Store®. Applying the same targeting capabilities it utilizes to put relevant promotional offers into the hands of consumers, Valassis features 50 children in 50 states with a strong focus on areas where a specific child is most likely to be found.
Partnering with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) since 1985, Valassis is NCMEC’s longest photo partner. The Have You Seen Me? program is simple in design, powerful in results and profound in its impact.
“Our team is passionate about delivering hope to searching families and missing children,” said Wayne Powers, President, Valassis. “We join NCMEC in raising awareness to this cause on National Missing Children’s Day and throughout the year. One of our program goals is to make sure that no missing child is ever forgotten.”
In addition to leveraging the reach of its portfolio, Valassis’ employee-led Giving Committee holds fundraisers throughout the year, and in 2017, donated $121,000 to NCMEC. This month, Valassis also supports Rock One Sock, NCMEC’s annual social media campaign to bring awareness to the thousands of children missing in America. In honor of National Missing Children’s Day, NCMEC encourages everyone to join the campaign to get people talking about this important issue.
